Orchid Time.

A trip into the box/ironbark bush at Glenmaggie to check out the orchid situation after a rather dry time. The Dotted Sun Orchid, Thelymitra ixioides is having a good season with many flower spikes to be seen.

Somewhat of a surprise was this lovely Caladenia carnea.

Caladenia catenata, usually very frequent, were a bit sparse.

As were the flying ducks.

Nice to see were a number of Purplish Beard-orchids, Calochilus robertsonii.

In this patch of bush the green/white form can also sometimes be found.
