Things With Wings.

Starting to see some Odonata in the garden, the first dragonfly photographed, an Australian Emerald, Hemicordulia australiae.

A Wandering Ringtail, Austrolestes leda.

A Slender Ringtail, Austrolestes analis, quite uncommon in the area.

A Black-faced Percher, Diplacodes melanopsis.

A lucky find was this potter wasp with a caterpillar destined to feed its developing youngster.

A Native Bee.

This attractive male bee, Megachile (Eutricharaea) maculariformis is a member of the leafcutter, mortar and resin bee group. It is pictured feeding in the flowers of a Westringea fruticosa. Click images to enlarge.
