Love is in the air

at the big dam, Blue Ringtails and Red and Blue Damsels are hard at work producing the next generation, flying in tandem, then pausing in the wheel position, and finally ovipositing into the water, milky with suspended clay.
I was out on the river yesterday and added two new species to my list, the Jade Hunter, and the Southern Vicetail. Got good photos of both, here’s the vicetail, and if you’d like to see the full sized pictures they’re in the gallery.
