Two more pictures from my spider herd taken last night. They say the Garden Orb is harmless to humans, well considering the size of this one’s gear I’m just thankful I’m not a fly, or a moth, or a beetle.
This was an attractive little fellow that built a web much larger than its size would suggest. It was probably the fastest web builder I’ve seen, after chasing it around in circles without success I had to wait for half an hour until it had finished and was having a spell. It was only about 5 mm across the body and hard to photograph sharply in the dark.
