Recent posts have come from around home, and there’s a good reason for that, we’ve been a bit busy. The Bellbird Corner management committee received a Landcare Twenty Fifth Anniversary grant, and we’ve been in the process of completing the activities associated with it. The re-vegetation component was a success despite having a metre of rushing floodwater over it soon after planting. The flood caused a lot of work that delayed the main grant component, an information shelter with signage telling the story of the reserve, and that is what has kept me busy recently. The building was precut here at home and erected on site with the aid of some willing helpers to whom we extend our thanks. Here are a few pictures of the work under way and the shelter ready for the information signage to be installed on the noticeboard.
