In the previous post I said that the herons and ibis were probably feeding on grasshoppers. That turned out to be not the case, while doing a job of work I noticed black field crickets in the dry grass, and that’s what they are snapping up. They have been joined over the last two days by an immature Brown Falcon that will be the subject of the next post. The ibis was too wary for photographs but I managed a few of the heron that is still showing breeding plumes on its back and nape.
